RWBY: Combat Ready

 Happy 2019 Everyone!

By now, anyone who had filled out their survey from BackerKit should have received their initial copies of RWBY: Combat Ready and any applicable add-ons or other perk items. If you have not received these items or you have not filled out your survey, contact us promptly ([email protected]) and we’ll help you out!

There are a few more things that still have yet to be fulfilled, one of the biggest is the upgraded Player Tracker Scrolls and Rulebook. These are currently in production and we are expected to have them in our regional warehouses by April 2019. Shortly before we have them in stock, all Backers will be notified via email that they can update their shipping address with us in the event that you have moved since the initial shipment. 

The second is the Signed Copies. These are currently being signed and repackaged at our offices in Austin, TX and are expected to ship out in March 2019 (that's this month!!!) These Backers will be contacted directly via email in the event that a shipping address needs to be updated. 

And finally, the Thank You Videos. To those of you who pledged at the levels where this perk was included, we will be contacting you in the next few weeks for further information. 

Below is some cool info we wanted to share with you. As a company that has a community located worldwide, we just wanted to say another massive, “THANK YOU” to all 8,629 of you who helped back this project initially. From all over the world, all of you, thank you. 

• 68.54% of all Backers are located in the United States
• Our top four countries after the US are the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Germany
• We shipped to 65 different countries where Backers are Located (including Hungary, Chile, Guernsey, and South Africa)

In other board gaming news, two of our other games are dropping in price! Million Dollars, But... The Game - a game in which you find out what crazy, gross, dirty things your friends would do for a million bucks, is down to just $20. Also, our newest game, Achievement Hunter HEIST will have you plotting a hit, executing a heist, and attempting to get away, all in real time, for only $25! Both of these awesome games can be found over on our Store.

We're Officially Shipping!!!

Congratulations everyone!!!!  

RWBY: Combat Ready officially started shipping out last Friday, October 26, to over 6,500 Backers located in the United States and countries not a part of the EU or Australia. The core game, bundled with add-on items and expansions, has left our warehouse and is speeding toward you with the speed of the chosen postal carrier.  

We’re beyond ecstatic that this is happening, nearly a year after the date that RWBY: Combat Ready was funded. From everyone here at Rooster Teeth and Arcane Wonders who has been working on the project, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  

To our UK and European Union Backers, our warehouse is receiving the product right now and we have the orders prepped and ready to be uploaded the instant we are able to ship out. At this moment, we are anticipating being able to start shipping by the end of next week!  

To our Australian and New Zealand Backers, our warehouse has the product and will begin shipping orders out by the end of this week, early next week at the latest.  

To our supporters of RWBY: Combat Ready who never became Backers: we still appreciate your support and know that if we didn’t have you waiting on the sidelines asking when the game was going to be available for retail purchase, we’d know that we missed a step somewhere. We have official retail dates to share with you today!

November 16: The core game and expansions will be available for purchase from the Rooster Teeth Store.
November 23: RWBY: Combat Ready core game will be available for purchase through select online retailers, including GameStop online.
November 28: RWBY: Combat Ready core game will be available at select local game stores and hobby shops.

September Campaign Update

Hi everyone - Did anyone get a chance to head over to Gen Con to take a sneak peek at what RWBY: Combat Ready has evolved into? We’ve heard reports from a few Backers that they had the opportunity to take it for an early spin and they loved what had happened with the game since our initial launch nearly a year ago.  

We are here today to bring an update on shipping and delivery. Beginning MONDAY October 1, you will all be prompted to update your shipping addresses. This is not necessary, but for anyone who has moved since the initial prompt to type in your shipping address, now is the time to make sure your items will be shipping to the correct location. This will last until the following dates:  

USA + Rest of the World Backers: October 8, 2018
Australia + New Zealand Backers: October 12, 2018
United Kingdom + EU Backers: October 19, 2018  

After those dates, all shipping addresses will be locked down and you will NOT be able to change anything. All information will be sent to our warehouses in the USA, United Kingdom, and Australia where they will begin packing up your orders to be shipped out and delivered.

TL;DR
October 1: You will be emailed a prompt to confirm and/or update your shipping address
October 8, 12, and 19. You will not longer be able to change your address depending upon your region
Late October/Early November: Shipment will occur

*Note 1 for the Backers who chose “New RWBY Character” as one of their add-on items. We are working with Animation to show you a big tease about who the new character is. There is art. There are cards and more. And they will be shipping out with the initial copy of RWBY: Combat Ready.
*Note 2 for the Backers who are receiving an Animation Cel. They are being approved by Animation now with the estimated delivery to still be Fall 2018. These will be shipped separately, as they were also meant to.
*Note 3 for the Backers who are receiving a Signed Copy of RWBY: Combat Ready. Your order will be shipped out separately and directly from the Rooster Teeth offices out of Austin, TX where we will have them signed based upon talent availability. You’ll be contacted separately with a notice regarding shipment and delivery.  

Now, you’ve seen that we are shipping out in October. Our initial goal of hitting the September ship date was ambitious considering ship travel time from our manufacturers overseas and in the middle of RTX London. There were also two printing errors that occurred. The first error was that the player tracker scrolls were not cut out with the upgrade that was promised from the $310,000 Stretch Goal you helped us hit. The second was the rulebook did not include the upgraded paperback cover stock which was promised from the $270,000 Stretch Goal. These finalized items will be shipped out separately after the initial game has been delivered to you at no additional cost. You will still receive a copy of the rulebook and the player tracker scrolls with your initial copy of the game, so you will be able to play without waiting for the other pieces to arrive. We apologize that we were not able to hit our July or September deadlines; this is not how we anticipated the RWBY: Combat Ready campaign to go, but we’re working to get things right ASAP.  

For an update on the location of the game, the boats carrying the merchandise are currently on the water headed to their correct ports of destination. Our factory is printing the corrected player tracker scrolls and the upgraded rulebooks.

Post-Campaign Update #8 - Shipping Update

Hi everyone -  

Things have been running at full-speed here at Rooster Teeth and Arcane Wonders on the production of RWBY: Combat Ready. As of June 22nd, we have approved the final production samples for the miniatures of Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Penny and the three villains; Cinder, Torchwick, and Adam. Multiple teams from both companies took three full rounds of samples on all the miniatures to ensure the quality met our standards.  

Additionally, here are some other key status points in the production of the game itself:

• All print material has been approved and sent off to mass production the during the week of June 2. This included all cards, tokens, player scrolls, instruction booklet, and the packing itself. 
• The internal game tray design has been approved and we hope to have it in production in the next week. This tray is being designed to hold all of the components created from the Kickstarter campaign, and the extra ones that were available for purchase.  

So the good news is everything is looking amazing and we’re going to have an awesome game! The bad news is that to allow extra time for our stringent QC, manufacturing, and packaging standards, the shipment of the game and its components has slid into late September 2018. With this being our first ever board game (especially with miniatures!), this has been an incredible learning experience. Although we hate to delay the delivery, we want to make completely sure that what we ship out will be an incredible game that you’ll love playing. We will have more to discuss the closer we get, but you can rest assured that you will be asked for your shipping address in case you’ve moved for school or other life changes.  

Additionally, for backers in the UK, European Union, Australia, and New Zealand, some Backer rewards were held up in customs. Some items were even returned to our Austin warehouse, and then we had to send it back to the international warehouses where these items are being received now. So thankfully, for those of you waiting to receive your Art Prints, T-Shirts, Challenge Coins, Starter Pack #1 (Volumes 1-4 of RWBY), or Starter Park #2 (CDs 1-4 of RWBY), we will be able to start shipping those items to you incredibly soon.  

We sincerely apologize for the delays and any inconvenience it may have caused. Backers located in the Australian and New Zealand locations, orders are shipping out now. Backers located in the UK and European Union, our items have now been received in and we are currently processing the orders to begin shipping next week.

Post-Campaign Update #7

Greetings everyone!  

First of all - we’ve got some incredible news. We are just about two weeks out from going to print for RWBY: Combat Ready and all expansion packs!! That means that the game is on track to ship in late July 2018! (As a note, this does not include the New RWBY Character Pack as that is still expected to ship separate.)  

As soon we have a final production sample here in our hands, we will be sharing photos with all of our Backers - with the proper spoiler tag, for those of you who want to remain surprised when it shows up on your doorstep. In the meantime, Arcane Wonders was recently at the GAMA Trade Show presenting some of their games, as well as an updated version of RWBY: Combat Ready. The team from Arcane Wonders will be visiting a number of upcoming trade shows and conventions this year, and we’ll be sharing all of this and more with you once the final schedule has been locked down! (And maybe some more new artwork and cards, hmm?)

 Next, we want to address the concerns that our International Backers are experiencing, especially those located in the European Union (+UK), Australia, and New Zealand. We want to apologize for the delays that have occurred. There were unexpected issues with our overseas warehouses that have held up our shipping of the merchandise from our Austin location to those two locations. This is in the works of being fixed right now, but we are pushing to have these orders fulfilled out of those local warehouses to help you from having to pay outrageous additional customs and duties fees and held packages. The new estimated timeline is to have these shipping to you towards the end of May.  

Finally, we’ve seen comments that Backers are receiving damaged products, missing  items, or concerns about their addresses. As always, contact us immediately at [email protected] where one of our Community Support members will be able to assist you in remedying your issue.  

We know that in long-life campaigns, it can feel as if the runners of the campaign are forgetting about the page and ignoring their Backers. We don’t ever want this to be the case with y'all and will be working towards being more active all around, from being more active in the comments here, and upping the cadence of updates, we want you to know that Rooster Teeth will never forget about the community that has been and will always be a part of our family.
